We do Architecture, transforming ideas into great buildings and spaces for us all to enjoy! We're passionate about guiding your vision from initial sketches to wonderful homes, multi-unit marvels, well planned subdivisions and commercial spaces. We've created 100’s of single and multi unit homes, and also apartments, galleries, wineries and resort accommodation – creating spaces that most importantly improve the quality and enjoyment of our lives.

We have the skills to stretch the current sustainable design ethos toward a more regenerative built environment. Our lead eco-architecture guru has helped pioneer more sustainable, resilient and regenerative architecture. Following these principles and focusing on crafting wonderful spaces for people, we find that sustainable practices seamlessly integrate into the process.

Why the name Kinex +

Ki being Japanese for Tree, stands for growth and resilience. Sustainable architecture is only the beginning, reflecting another Kinex’s mission of pushing our projects beyond sustainable into a regenerative and more resilient Architecture.

The Kinex together refers to connection. We connect the ideas, the people, the skills together to deliver the best Architecture solution for you, plus offering more than solely architecture.

Meet our team leaders

Alex Greig

Alex has over 30 years experience designing homes and buildings around New Zealand he is always striving to create the most enjoyable spaces to live and work in. Trained under the international Building Biology and Ecology Institute, he has focused his entire career on teaching, designing and helping pioneer a pathway toward a sustainable and regenerative architecture in New Zealand. His strengths are in the detail and is known for his practical solutions for working through building code challenges with the many councils around the Country.

Andrew Tong

Andrew in his 20th year delivering quality services and supporting projects within the Building Construction businesses, in both the residential and commercial sector. A people person, he is very client focused and with that has honed his project management skills to ensure the delivery of each project is as promised. Complimenting the PM skills are his strengths in design that are well received, equally with developer clients and planning authorities.
